Getting Rejected From A NightclubTuesday, November 6th, 2012
So you and your friends are on vacation and want to attend the hottest nightclub in town, but you don’t want to wait in a long line or pay to get in. You end up meeting some promoter that promises you he can get you in with no wait, free drinks, free entry and all that jazz. But you get to the door and now everything he promised goes out the window. The doorman says: “Sorry, But I can’t accommodate you and your group”… but at the same time he let in the group to the left of you… the group to the right of you… and even the group behind you. Now you and your friends are mad and wondering what the hell is going on. Did you just get rejected from a nightclub? How embarrassing!
If this has happened to you, stop, look around you and think why. Here you are trying to get into the most elite club in the city and you are being denied entry. So, is it because your homeboy has baggy jeans at his knees, dirty sneakers, and an over-sized t-shirt? Or maybe it’s the fact that you came with 7 dudes and 2 girls, all trying to get in without paying and free load of the promoter’s bottles. Or sadly, it can be that one of the girls you came with is a little overweight and decided to wear an extra-small tank top as a dress.
Now this tends to happen for many reasons at exclusive nightclubs and let me tell you why. The owner and manager have high standards for a certain look and reputation in order to keep sales up. The more exclusive the venue is the more one will pay to get in and the more bottles they “pop”. It doesn’t make financial sense for them to let in a big group for free when they aren’t even dressed correctly. So next time you want to party with the celebrities, best bet is to get table service and make sure you are dressed proper, or as the flyer says “dress to impress.”
