While Miami is celebrating Art Basel, Oakland is showcasing art in its most natural beauty… and by that we mean the naked human body. The Nude 2012 is an art exhibition that gathers work from a multitude of artists such as photographers, painters, and sculptures who all focus on nudity. Those with a sense of humor will enjoy the paintings featuring flying birds in the shape of the male’s special body part or of a captain piping a lady on top of a bar with pig heads floating around. Then there is art for the more serious kind showcasing self-portraits in the shower.
The art gallery will be open every Saturday from 1-5pm until December 15th at Studio Quercus. If you aren’t the shy kind, we definitely recommend you stop by and check out this form of art.
Studio Quercus, 385 26th St Oakland, CA 94612.510-452-4670.
