I’m surprised our wait was only 20-30 minutes! This location, the hostess took your number and it sent out a text whenever your place was coming up. So instead of waiting in the restaurant, we waited in the car.
So Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is always packed no matter when or where you go. Our waitress greeted us quickly and took our drink orders. When she came back we ordered the appetizer trio which came with shrimp and crawfish fondeaux, fried alligator and calamari. Holy delicious! We devoured the fondeaux, the calamari was fried to perfection and the lemon aioli took it to a different level. Now, the alligator. My husband and son have never had alligator before so this was a treat. They both loved it! It tasted like chicken and was tender and not chewy!
Our entrees included pasta mardi gras for me and shrimp & scallop orecchiette pasta for the husband plus a kids mac n cheese for the boy. I literally don’t ever order anything else from pappadeaux besides the pasta mardi gras. It’s just the best, there’s no other way to explain it. My husbands dish was also really good. We filled up on our appetizer so we all had to go boxes.
Pappadeaux is great. I mean what else is there to say?!
